On the flats in the Lower Keys and Key
West, Black tip, Lemon, Bull, Bonnet Head and Nurse Sharks are common. They are not always
the aggressive eaters they have been made out to be. Because of their poor eyesight and
the lack of scent on flies or lures, precise casts to these fish are important. But, when
a shark does decide to eat, there is no doubt about it - you're in for an adrenaline
pumping challenge! For sharks a 10 to 11 weight flyrod or 10 to 20 pound spinning gear is
ideal. |
